1st Whittingham BP Scout Group

Fun and adventure for Beavers, Wolf Cubs, Scouts, Senior Scouts and Rovers, that's boys and girls 5 years old and above. This includes over 18s in Rovers. See our website for this term's programme and details.


Aln and Breamish Local History Society

Holds a lecture programme every year in Whittingham Village Hall, with other trips and talks. Also holds an archive of items of local interest, particularly photographs.


Alnham Church

Information St Michael and All Angels Church in Alnham, which is in the parochial parish of Upper Coquetdale.


Cheviot Valley Flower Club

Very active flower arranging society, with regular meetings, guest speakers, and other events.


Whittingham Church - Anglican

Information on St. Bartholomew's Church in Whittingham, which is in the parochial parish of Whittingham and Edlingham with Bolton Chapel.


Whittingham Church - Catholic

St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.


Whittingham Church of England First School

This is a Church of England Controlled primary school located in the village of Whittingham.


Whittingham Memorial Institute

This village hall was created as a first world war memorial. A number of activities and meetings are held here, and it is also available for hire. It is located in the village of Whittingham.


Whittingham Show

Traditional country fair held annually in August. The song "Scarborough Fair" was reputedly originally "Whittingham Fair".


Whittingham Women's Institute

This branch of the national W.I was over 95 years old, but sadly it closed in January 2015. The nearest branch of the W.I. now meets at Hedgeley.
